mgd_include_snippet works in page and style elements.
Just remember to put it to PHP code markers. Like this:
<?php
mgd_include_snippet("/path/to/my/snippet");
?>
Note that mgd_include_snippet does not give error messages
if that snippet is not found. Maybe you used wrong path?
