I want to have a few different layers of navigation but it looks difficult to customise the input fields to allow the additional fields in articles to be used.
I have a normal hierarchy of articles based on campaign and subcampaign. But for me, it has to be possible to sort according to region and document type as well. It seems there are a number of additional fields in the articles table that I could use:
Type
Extra 1
Extra 2
Extra 3
But Aegir won't let me rename them and create dropdown menus with the defined options I want for each custom field.
I looked at using parameters but there is no option to predefine the parameter input (like a drop down, radio button, etc) or limit user input options. Has anyone thought of a good solution to get around this?
I thought of hacking Aegir so that the Type and Extra input fields were dropdowns hard coded with the options I want to limit people to.
Any hints would be great.
