I was also wondering if there is anyone willing to share code for a whole lot of common features such as:
- email to a friend
- printer friendly version
- comment on this article function (and the ability to turn it on and off in the article input screen)
- search
The navigation, rss feed and breadcrumb code in the sample site is great but if you want more people to use Midgard, there needs to be more sharing of this type of code, ideally, built into the Sample Site.
I've started getting my head around Midgard and I really like the concept but the thought of having to build all the code for all those things from scratch makes me think I'm just reinventing the wheel since so many other Midgard sites must have these functions included. Surely it can't be hard to add them to the sample site so it is a more fully featured example of what Midgard can do?
I read the template development section of the Aegir and it looks like this is what it is trying to do. Does anyone know if there is any progress on these things?
If anyone is willing to share these functions with The Wilderness Society in Australia, please let me know. It would save us huge amounts of time.
Thanks James Gifford The Wilderness Society
