as far as I can set - changing to php sessions is probably worth the 
effort = its' a 3 line hack in the auth code. - and means gets rid of 
alot of problems. - i doubt trans-sess-id will work as there's too much 
javascript in nadmin.

- just replace the
$midgardauth = $_SESSION['midgardauth']
and change the setcookie call.

It is cookie problem. You will get similiar problems with latest new Mozilla or 
Galeon.
In brief, cookie domain  should be exactly the same as the site You are trying to rich.
