I was able to create a user, assign them to a group, create an 
article without needing authentication on by forcing the 
username/password in the page.

So, it might be worthwhile putting a note on the page for the 
.debs that they should consider using the 1.4.4 data.

Probably would have saved me 15 hours of frustration.
