Usually events like this are quite easy to arrange. You just need
to get enough people interested, set the date, arrange space and
connectivity, and decide a good bar for evening activities. The momentum
usually takes care of the rest.

In this case it might be a good idea to arrange some tutorials in
the beginning to enable people new to Midgard to participate.
If you want to have some funding for the event, the tutorials could
even be for fee. I think there is enough interest in Open Source CMS
to make that sensible.

Sounds excellent.

I would certainly be happy to participate.
Actually, to make the practical considerations easier, I could even
try to be a revenue generator for the event by either hosting a (for
fee) tutorial or doing some Midgard work :-)

Well, it is easy to be impressed by Doro, isn't it ;-)

BTW, it would be good to decide early on whether you want to
make this first event in the area a Midgard-only or OSCOM event.

Maybe a dev meeting now and an OSCOM mini-conference later if the
experiences with the first event are good?
