[midgard-user] Fatal error while installing midgard lite

i installed the DB and the files, and get this error when hitting 
index.php

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: query() in 
/home/pantherm/public_html/MidgardLite/midgard.class on line 89

line 89 is

$__mgd_config->results [$this->__DB_result] = $__midgard__DB -> 
query($string);

any ideas?
