It's not likely that this is the reason but you could try to look at the person table to be sure that no entries are missing.
So, what is the output of the following sql query?
SELECT * FROM person;
And just for the record: be sure you have register_globals on (yes, I know you probably have)
Finally please mail me your midgard.inc file to me (I'm sure the file in the package is correct but somebody once had a wrong one [I don't how he got it])
