yes, well, I've tried without the argument too, and it doesn't work either...

I think U have installed Midgard lib from sources, isn't it? (I used Debian packages, very easy !) if U do "find / |grep libmidgard.so", which folders do U obtain ? in my case (=Debian), Midgard's lib are in /usr/lib
Use that folder in argument for the ./configure...
