You are trying to compile for apache2.

Use apache 1.3.X, or checkout the experimental apache2 module from CVS.

Personally, I have yet to see an apache2 installation with a decent php
install (decent meaning: having the same amount of php modules available
as you could under apache 1.3.x), and would suggest going with apache
1.3.X.

But then, if everyone thinks like that, the apache2 - PHP marriage is
never going to happen.
