Yep that's correct.  Something is seriously wrong but it doesn't seem to have affected the rest of the site. I think it's version 1.4.  

 
BTW , could You set extension to deafult .php ?
Personally I also had problems with .tmp extension.

All the other cache files are php files.  This is the only .tmp one I've ever seen in the whole cache.
