[midgard-user] connecting to aegir from another machine

hello again,

I am unable to bring up the Aegir login on my laptop which is connected to the server with midgard/aegir installed on it.

I have tried the suggestion in the wilderness society's The midgard-data.conf file and connection problems
but no luck:

.....The problem was that the ipaddress in /etc/apache/midgard.conf was set as 127.0.0.1

VirtualHost 127.0.0.1:8104

which is what I had entered as the host ip address when I compiled the midgard-data package. I needed to change that to

VirtualHost *

to get midgard to accept incoming connections on all ports rather than just the local port.....


I just get "page cannot be displayed."

Pls any help would be greatly appreciated as it would make my work a lot easier to be able to login to midgard from my Windows laptop and do my work from there.
