we are experiencing some strange problems with our nadmin system.
When I use the url of our webserver like http://www.hexagon.at, everything works fine, even when I append some folders to the url eg. http://www.hexagon.at/Services/ as long as these folders exist.
When I do something like http://www.hexagon.at/JustForFun/ no error message is showing up, even though this folder does not exist! Funnily enough that the server responds with a page it leaves out the news section!?
That all leads to some difficulties to download files (images, PDFs, ...) from this url:
This url does not work:
http://www.hexagon.at/Hexagon_Downloads/HexagonNewsletter_Ebook.pdf
We have a workaround, but we need to find where the problem originates. The workaround is simply to use another Server-Domain:
http://www.hase-asp.at/Hexagon_Downloads/HexagonNewsletter_Ebook.pdf
That works for every file. BUt it even doesn't work when we use the server's IP address.
Has anybody seen this before? I need some hints where I can start to isolate the cause of this phenomenon.
