We will forget about custom apache module since midgard 1.6. But relax :) MMP with cache turned of work EXACTLY the same way as custom mod midgard. You may even remove Your cache table, cause it will not affect any of Your site. Or wait for new midgard-data-ng which take care of any upgrade like this. New datagard checks if You have already cache table and how it looks, then make any required changes if needed.
