Greetings!

Since there are some issues with the new Midgard web server, I started
building the new Midgard Project website on Nemein's development server.
The whole sitegroup will be transferred to the actual server once issues
there have been resolved.

Anyway, the temporary location for the new site is:

The base MidCOM framework is now running there and the schemas should
be sane enough (using default MidCOM schemas), so content migration
can begin.

You can insert and manage content using either Aegir CMS 1.0.1 or
MidCOM's AIS interface. MidCOM AIS is more easily available (via
"Edit this page") but Aegir provides easier image handling.

Major content areas to be migrated:

~ * Concepts and features pages from Midgard Manual:
~ http://www.midgard-project.org/manual/en/part.concepts.php
~ to /documentation/concepts

~ * Function reference from Midgard Manual:
~ http://www.midgard-project.org/manual/en/part.funcref.php
~ to /documentation/reference

~ * Developer (contributing) information:
~ http://www.midgard-project.org/developer/
~ to /community/development

~ * MidCOM website (and docs which are apparently only in TeX):
~ http://www.nathan-syntronics.de/midgard/midcom/
~ to /projects/midcom
~ docs to /documentation/concepts/midcom

~ * Aegir CMS development and other info:
~ http://www.aegir-cms.org/
~ to /projects/aegir

Let me know if (and when) you would like to work on one of these
(or some other) content areas, and I will give you authoring
access on the site.

Reminder: the quicker we get contents migrated, the quicker we
have a new kick-ass Midgard Project website running :-)

I will be quite busy building some new features etc.

/Bergie
