thanks for your help, I think Aegir CMS is pretty tough to get running, so any support is pretty welcome ;)

What does your 'host' table say? ie. Login to the midgard db and tell us what "select * from host" gives you.

But if you're having trouble login into MySQL aegir may not have been installed properly in the first place. You will need to do the following before reinstalling it:

Log into mysql as root, then "grant all on midgard.* to [EMAIL PROTECTED] identified by 'your_password';". This might be a security problem but I don't know what rights midgard needs...

That's currently no problem since this is just a local test installation (to figure out what it does and how it works).

Umm... local or not. Repligard needs access to the midgard db in order to install Aegir. My RPMs didn't work fixing these things by hand first so I'm guessing you're having the same problem.


It should be a lot easier to help if we know what your host table says.
