Ok, think I've managed the login/logout bit... using nemein_ but how to check whether a user is logged in or not so as to be able to conditionally display content..
You need to handle the $midgard->user check differently then, usually with nemeinauth we just show a login form in case of missing user, in this case optimal approach depends a lot more on the specific needs.
