Parameter is a record extension. Built to be used in cases where your content objects (articles, topics, etc.) need more fields than those that are provided as default.
So, with parameters you can add fields to Midgard objects. You can use them as you wish but there is the limitation of 255 characters per parameter field (there's three usable fields in a parameter: domain, name, value).
Read more at: http://www.midgard-project.org/documentation/reference/parameter/

| what do you mean by this function :
| parameter('relation','secondarytopic','ID_or_GUID_of_target_here');That's how you create parameters if you need to add them somewhere in your code.
You can use Aegir to insert parameters and never have to worry about the code above. :)
