Correct. Approval is not affecting the visibility of objects in content hierarchy (it does change status icons though).

I must say this is the wierdest problem I've ever seen in Aegir. ;) It seems there is either something wrong with the ownership (check that Comcast admingroup owns the topics), Aegir visibility settings (check in topic "details") or you have a broken Aegir installation. If the first two don't do you any good I'd suggest you reinstall Aegir and this time try 1.0.1. :)
