I was troubleshooting one of these errors when I looked at phpMyAdmin's runtime information and it seems that the MySQL server is getting an average of 90 queries per second or 322,353.81 per hour. The server is running two midgard sites and nothing else with both sites having a combined average of 10000 hits per day. Is it normal that midgard causes such a vast amount of traffic or is something broken in my installation?
That sounds like a high number. But then again, it really depends on what kinds of stuff your Midgard site does.
For example, MidCOM is quite query-intensive now that it is still implemented in PHP instead of being in Midgard core.
Anyway, if this seems like a problem for you, you can upgrade to MySQL 4.x and turn query caching on.
