I'm trying to install AegirCMS on my debian box. I installed midgard framework and repligard using the debian packages.
When I started to install Aegir CMS I got this error:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/usr/src/aegir/Aegir-1.0.1$ repligard -a -i AegirCMS.xml.gz
you must specify the config file here: repligard -a -c <config file> -i AegirCMS.xml.gz
repligard-CRITICAL **: Error in DB connection
My repligard.conf has the correct db, username, pw. The DB is on localhost:
Repligard throws this error if it can't connect to the mysql database. So double-check if is really really correct, mysql is running, and the client library is not looking for the mysql.sock in the wrong place.
mysql -h localhost -u midgard -p midgard
with the same password written in the repligard.conf connects successfully.
Would repligard be connecting some other way? The conf file doesn't mention anything about a host, is there a reason for it?
for some reason, repligard doesn't know how to connect to remote servers.
