The reason I ask is that every time I upgrade Aegir I have to change Aegirs own code to allow our own internal intranet domains to work. Though it is not public, we internally use a .web domain - e.g. intranet.web.
Historical reasons (ie HKLC had it in Nadmin Studio), nobody removed it.
