Thanks for your help.
I upgraded and recompiled expat, and now datagard appears to work fine. Now I am just having issues creating the virtual host.
Datagard reports that it has created the virtual host for me, however the virtual host directory is empty and I simply get an Object Not Found error when I navigate to it.

Does it break only with midcom-example? Previous packages imported without problems?
Can you show /usr/local/share/midgard/data/midcom-example.xml, line 633?
If other prevoius packages are imported withotu problems, run datagard again ,
select import, select packages from the next after midcom-example.xml, and try
to import. Run datagard again and create vhost.
