It's a matter of "how Aegir makes update". 1.6.2 is backward compatible.
You mean that is not a Midgard problem but PHP4/libpcre !?
I do not know how about Nadmin, but there was always pcre issue with Aegir.
Have you an idea on what to do to fix the problem ?
