Yep. Well, especially for small sites I would fall back to google, as it has the smallest footprint on your site. If you use MidCOM though, I would propose using the MidCOM indexer which will be in the next stable release scheduled for sometimes in the next few weeks (check my Blog [1] for why the release was delayed). You can see the indexer in action on my Site [2] and the Midgard Project web site [3]. Lucene will give you the greatest flexiblity when it comes down to searching, as you can do (with a bit of work albeit) stuff like list related articles to the current one (using a keyword search).
