Thanks for the info. I have now compiled apache 2.0.53, where I get no segfaults. But now there is the problem, that I only get a blank page on my browser. My error_log:

The database is a new one, generated by datagard.

Mike, I use Gentoo too (2) ;-) I can't get Midgard 1.6.1 or 1.6.2 to run
with Apache 2.0.5x when it is using the threaded model (do 'apache2 -l' and
look for worker.c to verify [if it shows prefork.c instead then you are good
to go]). If you change your USE flags and re-build apache (there's a
specific mpm_prefork flag that will set that up. See
http://gentoo-portage.com/USE), you can get both 1.6.1 and 1.6.2 versions of
Midgard to compile. Let me know if you need more detail to get that working.
