Social Source Foundation (SSF) is seeking an Engineering Director
for our Mumbai development group. SSF is a nonproft
organization that exists to create open source, mission-focused
technology for the nonprofit and NGO sector. We are creating and
distributing the first internationalized, open-source CRM platform for
nonprofits, offering an online donor database integrated with online
engagement tools (email and advocacy).
This position is located in Mumbai, and is will be responsible for
managing and developing the team and the technical infrastructure,
setting and managing to deadlines, maintaining code quality, hands-on
design and coding, and coordination with partner teams in the US and
Poland. The India group currently consists of 6 engineers - and we
plan to double the size of the team over the next year.
Requirements include:
* 5+ years programming experience, including substantial
experience
developing web-based applications
* Computer Science degree
* Experience working for a US-based company
* Familiarity with scripting languages (perl, python or unix)
is a must
* Expertise with *nix based operating system(s) and utilities
* Strong SQL skills are a plus
* Prior experience managing and growing engineering teams
* Experience with open source development is desirable
