To reply to my own mail. I had the php-dbase extension installed, thought this was the correct one for dba as well (SuSE 9.3 is not offering an php4-dba extension). I was proven wrong :-( I installed the dba extension on SuSE as Tarjei wrote in : http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.web.midgard.user/7351/match =phpize
