For those (not so) brave souls who would like to test Aegir2.
1. Install midgard as normal, set up a normal midcom site using datagard
and the sitewizard. (It doesn't matter which style you use).
Download midcom from cvs to somewhere on the box.
2. if on debian sarge , run:
chmod -R oug+r -R /usr/share/php/
find /usr/share/php/ -type d -exec chmod ugo+x {} \;
3. Load the correct static-dir:
ln -s /<path to
midcom-cvs>/midcom/fs-midcom/static
/var/lib/midgard/vhosts/dev.bergfald.no/80/midcom-static
4. Add the new datatypes to mysql:
mysql midgard < <path to
midcom-cvs>/fs-midcom/lib/midcom/config/mgdschema/sql/midcom_dbobjects_full.sql
5. restart apache
6. Go to aegir (yes, the old one) and navigate to the root topic of the
site. Change the parameter midcom componetn from de.linkm.taviewer to
midcom.admin.aegir.
7. Go to the site you created, log in and go
to /siteprefix/midcom-admin/settings and sett the Path to Filesystem
MidCOM (default: /usr/share/midgard/midcom/lib/) to the path where you
downloaded midcom cvs ( f.x. /home/userid/midcom/fs-midcom/lib).
Note: This is not production quality yet!
