Thanks - everything works now. However, for some reason, it seems to
find my dependent JAR with the annotated classes twice:

Unless the scanning happens faster, I'll probably stick with
hibernate.cfg.xml for now. Running "mvn package" takes 13 seconds
with hibernate.cfg.xml and 26 seconds with <scan-jars/>.

Yes, that's another bug that basically it's the same that I just fixed. So
