actually, let me go back on that a little bit.

I just went through the jira issues on it and found a number of
patches that I could apply so I took care of those just now and
deployed a new snapshot.  Since I have no builds that use this anymore
I'll just throw it out there and see if it works for everyone :)

that being said if it does make bad things happen to anyone, then you can use

axistools-maven-plugin-1.1-20061007.142847-4.jar

that release as the one that has been being used since then we'll try
and figure out what broke, I can always revert some of these patches
that I applied.  just replace the version  with the version bit of
that jar above and you should be back in business.

maybe someone will be inspired to take ownership of this plugin and
write some test cases for it!

I'll wait for a bit of feedback on this and call for a vote next week,
unless there is an outpouring of support saying everything is
hunkydory.
