Hi Rob,

I'm trying to build an application that has a number of services using
Tanukisoft's Java Service Wrapper and so I was really pleased to find
appassembler-maven-plugin.

> I have a couple of questions though:

1. Is it possible to generate all the services in to the same directory
structure so that libraries and binaries can be shared? Ideally the
services would generated directly into the<assembleDirectory> and then
refer to a wrapper.conf named after the daemon id. Or is there a
rationale for splitting these out that I'm missing?
Unfortunately not.. Currently the plugin is not flexible enough to handle this situation but it's an good idea for improvement.

But i will check if there might be a way around this with the current release...but i fear there is not ...

Apart from that just file in a issue and describe your wishes for improvement...

2. The company I'm working with has purchased the commercially licensed
version of JSW - is there a way to make use of an alternate JSW version
with the wider platform support?

The same as above...One of the most important ideas is to get rid of the hard linked version to the JSW-delta-package however the up-to-date versions of JSW are only available as commercial licenses which is a problem for an open source project...to support more platforms we have to think about alternatives like YAJSW on sourceforge (http://yajsw.sourceforge.net/)...

Furthermore we have no commercial license to be able to do the needed testing for such a setup...But if you like to help any help is appreciated...

Kind regards
