I wouldn't be too concerned, since You obviously are testing a remote server 
and we are talking client-side logging here. I doubt that the client will be 
the bottleneck here.

Unfortunately I have no experience configuring logging inside of JMeter. You 
might try to ask at the JMeter mailing list user@jmeter.apache org.
