Hi David, The simplest solution is a workaround: If you are using OSX Lion or Mountain Lion, you can use JDK 7, which uses the standard location for tools.jar.
If not, I would try something similar to what you did, only add the revised tools dependency to the corbertura library dependency, not the plugin. If that doesn't work, can you run it with the -X switch and let me see the output?
