If it really helps we could cut a release...may be best a snapshot
before so you could test if it works as expected and afterwards a
release....something like 1.8.1 ...

Thanks for tip! assembly-plugin is used for post-processing, I'm hoping this

I'm working on OpenCog open source project (http://opencog.org/) and one
less command typed (chmod +x some/path/bin/*) helps to reduce barrier of
entry to new developers. :)
