Some time ago, i used 1.0 which had a solrindex-mapping.xml file. Due to some issues, as could be seen here on the list, i successfully tried the nightly build which was at the time just a couple of weeks older than the current 1.1 release. I'm still testing the build at the moment (i'm just waiting for the crawl the finish) but downloaded the 1.1 release a few moments ago so i can do more testing with that one. Then i noticed it had the solrindex-mapping.xml file, but wait, my current nightly build doesn't have that configuration at all! I have no idea, but it indexing to Solr works and i have no mapping file. Why does it work? Is it just copying fieldName to fieldName without a mapping file? The wiki is not very clear on the subject, as a matter of fact, it's not clear on any Solr related features. Cheers,
