Well.. this is strange, but one thing that I have found is that you have to end your url in the seed list with a "/"..
So for instance: smb:///homes/users/ not smb:///homes/users Not sure why, but it made a difference for me? In the smb.properties file, you need to set the smb user and password. We have a generic domain user name and password that we use for our internal shared drives. This user has the least amount of privledges.
