I
followed http://wiki.apache.org/nutch/NutchHadoopTutorial#Distributed_Searching to
set up a distributed searching environment. And I came across something
strange.
1. When I tried to search
"apache", http://nutch03:8080/search.jsp?query=asdf&hitsPerPage=10&lang=en showed
nothing, just empty, with HTML code "<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML
4.01 Transitional//EN">". And the catalina.out showed:2010-10-08 21:44:35,981

2. When I tried to search "asdf", which is not indexed in my index database,
"http://nutch03:8080/search.jsp?query=asdf&hitsPerPage=10&lang=en"; showed me
the normal nutch page, saying "Hits 0-0 (out of about 0 total matching
pages): "And the catalina.out showed:2010-10-08 21:44:46,440 INFO NutchBean -
query request from 192.168.7.172010-10-08 21:44:46,441 INFO NutchBean - query:

So, my question is, why was the page empty?
