With Solr and specific Solr configuration (Velocity) for Nutch users and even better documentation i think you'll be back on your feet quickly. At least, that's the goal.
Nutch already provides a Solr schema specifically for Nutch documents. When we add Nutch tuned Solr configuration and Velocity templates and a short wiki guide on how to copy libs i'm almost sure you'll get more bang for a few more bucks.
