Limit Nutch memory usage

Hello list,

I have two instances of nutch running on my machine. I want to configure
Instance 1 maximum usage or RAM to be 4 Gb

And max usage of RAM in instance 2 to be 8 GB.

Can I do it by configuring HADOOP_HEAPSIZE for each instance?

Will these configuration interferes to each other ?
