There is no log output which would suggest anything else other than nothing?

If we had some log output, then we know where to look for a solution.

If we don't have log output this is a case for a patch.

Sorry for my simple logic on this one, but I am keen to ensure that we are
able to provide suitable logging output for matter like this...if possible.
