Hi, http://wiki.apache.org/nutch/Nutch2Architecture is actually very outdated. A lot of concepts mentioned do not exist anymore.
Note that I just added a wikipage that describes the crawling in Nutchgora. (Which is something my colleague Mathijs initially documented to help understand Nutchgora).
