As a regular reader of the [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list, it is
quite evidient that very few of the people in that project approve of that
version as usable in a production environment. There is a lot of discussion
about the merits of going directly to 8.3.x when available vs. sticking with
8.2.x for a while, but when anyone jumps in with a 8.0 problem it gets tossed
back that the problem is fixed with a version from 8.1.X and higher.
There is a slew of performance and reliablity issues as well as automatic
vacuuming with the 8.2 series that may make your upgrade well worth the effort.
If you need to stay with 8.0.X, I'd say you need to install the 8.0.12 version
and make sure you have your manual vacuum proceedure properly configured.
FWIW, I seem to remember people quoting 30% or so peformance increase 8.0 ->
8.3devel, which is a lot, if you are stress testing ofBiz.
