How to set smtp server at local network

Hi,

   I installed  the SMTP server and configured it in general.properties
file but it does not work.
  I set like this  mail.smtp.relay.host = server
  and it is giving this error : No matching list found
   It is running on the port no. 99
  What is the solution for this ?
