I recommend you read through the two volumes of The Data Model
Resource Book, Revised Edition. For more info see:
http://docs.ofbiz.org/display/OFBADMIN/OFBiz+Related+Books
There is some additional information in the comments of the data model
itself (description elements actually). Beyond that you can search
through the code to see how things are used. Of course, if your
questions are about which entity to use for a particular purpose, only
a human can really answer that sort of thing, and only safely/
accurately/usefully if it is done after sufficient analysis and design.

Hello all,
I am looking to design a city guide application using Ofbiz. The
application
basically list locations (Hotels, Restaurants, Shops, Parks e.t.c)
in a
city. Each location will also be associated with some graphic media
e.g
photos or videos. Some of these locations (e.g. a certain car
dealer) have
different types of products for sale, while some other locations
(e.g the
beach/park) don't have a product for sale. I thought about using
facility
manager for these locations but in my case some locations don't have a
product for sale so I guess inventory will be zero. My greatest
hindrance is
my lack of deep understanding of Ofbiz e.g what entities to use. I
think
Ofbiz is a cool app development platform and I would like to reuse
as much
of the existing infrastructure as possible.
Please I will greatly appreciate any form of advice or pointers to
more
information.
Thanks in advance
