The last time I looked, there was nothing that allowed you to move products from catalog to catalog in bulk. It shouldn't be too difficult to write a service to do that since catalogs & categories exist independently of products (and product features such as product pricing & description.) You could then set the new service up to recur every day, at a time convenient to you.

Or, you could just switch the catalog that is viewable on the website. You will need to do that manually using the Catalog Manager.

Maybe someone else on the list knows a better way.

I will have only one catalog and update the changes only once a day... so
that i can put all new products prices and so on over the day in the non
visible catalog. Is there any function in ofbiz to do this?

Your motivation for wanting to do this may have some bearing on the answer to these questions. For example, do you simply want to put all your new products on the website at one time (say 12 midnight?). Or do you have multiple suppliers/vendors and want each to have a separate catalog? At some point, you want to merge all the catalogs and all the products?

What properties would you like to inherit from the category? [Most of the properties that I normally think of in connection with the category are really product properties.]
