Yes, OFBiz will accommodate your requirements. I recommend creating a custom component in the hot-deploy folder and reusing existing artifacts there. -Adrian --- On Sat, 8/8/09, Rod Matthews <[email protected]> wrote: From: Rod Matthews <[email protected]> Subject: Application Customization To: [email protected] Date: Saturday, August 8, 2009, 9:35 PM We handle all aspects of IT for a local medical weight loss clinic with 2 offices currently and looking to add 2 more within the next 3-6 months. Since they are a weight-loss clinic they only need basic patient information to be contained within the EMR portion, but they also need ERP-like features to maintain inventory control over a set of about 20 different medications/supplements that they sell to their patients. Due to the nature of their business we have not been able to find an “off-the-shelf” application to fit their needs adequately, which is why we have been tasked with looking to develop something custom to better fit their environment. We would prefer not to reinvent the wheel when it came to the development of this application for our client. I was wondering if it were possible to use your core ERP package and either independently or collaboratively develop basic EMR (Electronic Medical Records) functionality into the product. Our ultimate solution will likely be a “hybrid” between an ERP and EMR system since we require certain elements of both, but really not the full functionality of either. Thank you, and I look forward to hearing from a representative from your organization soon. Sincerely, "Helping You Save Green!"
