Hi Heidi I'm no business specialist but you shouldnt be getting a blank screen when you select a facility that already exists. The only thing I can think of is that for some reason the system is trying to create a 'new facility' which is why you get only a blank screen with the only the top level menus.
I have had this problem sometimes using the online demo (demo904.ofbiz.org) but couldnt track down why it was happening. Normally to fix it I just try clicking on some other menus then come back to it and then it works OK. For myself I'm running 9.04 and I have only a facility (warehouse) setup and its working OK. There are many ways to create inventory in the facility. You can receive incoming inventory, create inventory items, do inventory adjustments. If you are creating starting inventories that are not zero then I think an initial inventory adjustment is probably a good way to go. Hope this helps.
