Hi all,
Coming back to an earlier post of mine: Does anyone on this list
have an
idea of the next release?
I mean in reference to
* timing
* content
Regarding the content of the next release: @Committers: Are there
any major
steps in the various modules that you think could be aligned into
the next
release any time soon?
Would there be a "freeze" during which only fixes to release
features would
be committed? Who could be doing a stabilization run (to identify
required
fixes) and where?
Apparently, there would be more than two people interested to see a
next
release on the horizon, and if it would only document that OFBiz
actually is
evolving (and a lot I would say over the last 6 months since I
follow it).
One of the major steps in trunk is e.g. the move of ecommerce from
applications to specialpurpose, the relocation of themes to a
central place
etc. And there are for sure others as well which IMHO merit a major
release.

Hi Chris
It's just the naming convention we're following and not their release
cycles.

There has been some talk on this forum about ofbiz following a ubuntu
style of release.
Ubuntu 9.10 has just been released - I guess we won't be having an
ofbiz
9.10?
Many thanks,
Chris
