Thanks for your reply. I tried removing product associating using this SQL:
delete from product_assoc where product_assoc_type_id in
('PRODUCT_UPGRADE', 'PRODUCT_COMPLEMENT');
However, there are still are still items appearing under "You Might Also
Interested:"
Any other suggestions?
